Dr. Riley is a movement disorders neurologist who is a founder of InMotion, the free community center for people with Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Riley is a native of Montreal, Quebec, where he attended McGill University School of Medicine, graduating in 1981. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, a neurology residency from 1982 to 1985 at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital, and a fellowship in Electromyography at the Cleveland Clinic. From 1986 to 1988 he was a fellow in Movement Disorders at Toronto Western Hospital. He then returned to Cleveland to set up the first movement disorders clinic in the city at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. In 1998, Dr. Riley moved with the Division of Neurology to University Hospitals, where he practiced for 16 years, established the Movement Disorders Center, and rose to the academic rank of Professor.
In 2014, Dr. Riley left the academic world to found InMotion, where he has maintained a solo practice in movement disorders. He is the most experienced movement disorders neurologist in the state of Ohio, having seen over 1,000 patients with Parkinson's disease and performed over 10,000 botulinum toxin injection procedures. Dr. Riley has authored well over 100 publications, and given hundreds of invited lectures, on a variety of topics related to movement disorders.
