Our goal is to educate the patient to prevent recurrence of wounds/ulcerations and offer the patient advanced wound care treatment medically and surgically, including skin substitutes/skin grafting. Unfortunately, at times, partial or complete toe or foot amputations are required to save the patient's foot, leg and life.
Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses a fiber-optic viewing camera and small surgical tools to operate in and around the ankle joint through small incisions. Ankle arthroscopy is performed for the surgical evaluation and treatment of a variety of medical conditions.
When necessary for pain including severe arthritis and deformities of the ankle, mid foot and lower leg: A custom-made brace that supports the lower leg, ankle and foot may be necessary to resolve the patient's pain and return to a quality of life including activities of enjoyment/employment and to avoid reconstructive surgery.
We also offer Epidermal Nerve Fiber Density studies, which is an office procedure that includes a small skin biopsy to evaluate patients for nerve damage called neuropathy. This procedure assists with diagnosis and directs appropriate treatment for these pathological pain patients.
